The Director of Commercial Strategy and Operations is responsible for building and scaling a high-impact commercial strategy and operations function. Key accountabilities include defining commercial strategy, optimizing sales territories, leading incentive compensation, developing executive dashboards, and leveraging AI technologies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial strategy, sales operations, revenue operations, management consulting, or related business leadership roles.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior sales executives to develop commercial strategies that support rapid organizational growth.
  • Demonstrated success designing sales territories, quota methodologies, and variable compensation plans for large field sales organizations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using Excel, Salesforce, AI tools, and business intelligence platforms to solve complex commercial challenges.
  • Experience leading high-performing analytics, commercial operations, or data science teams.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with the ability to influence leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Builder mentality with a strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and comfort operating in fast-changing environments.
  • MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience within molecular diagnostics, healthcare, life sciences, oncology, prenatal diagnostics, or other regulated healthcare industries is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with deploying AI-powered workflows, large language models, or automation solutions within commercial functions is considered a strong advantage.
