About the role

The Director of Clinical Services will be an inspiring leader and knowledgeable clinician with a deep commitment to sexual and reproductive freedom and social justice. This role partners with a dynamic Clinical Support Team (CST) that provides frontline healthcare at health centers across CT and RI, serving over 100,000 patient visits annually.

In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Director for Clinical Services works closely with CST members and other Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) departments to ensure health centers provide person-centered, high-quality care that complies with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), federal, state, and local requirements. The Director plans, writes policies for, coordinates, and evaluates healthcare services at PPSNE. This position supervises Lead Clinicians, the Orchard Lab Manager, and the Clinical and Research Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the Clinical Support Team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and other departments to ensure compliance with PPFA, federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate healthcare services across PPSNE health centers.
  • Supervise Lead Clinicians, Orchard Lab Manager, and Clinical and Research Coordinator.
  • Promote a culture of equity, inclusion, and social justice within the clinical team.

Requirements

  • Active license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) in Connecticut or Rhode Island.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in sexual and reproductive health care.
  • At least 3 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Pay

Salary range: $165,787 – $198,945 annually, based on full years of experience. Due to our commitment to pay equity, PPSNE does not negotiate salaries.

Schedule

Full-time position. Hybrid/remote work is allowed.
