About the role
The Director of Catering Sales organizes and manages events and sales for organizations and businesses within and outside the hospitality industry, aiming to achieve sales goals set by senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Organize and distribute Banquet Event Orders.
- Plan menus in consultation with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
- Ensure strict observance of health and safety regulations.
- Produce, mail, and maintain invoices; transfer information to accounting.
- Distribute Banquet Event Orders and inform relevant personnel of last-minute changes or additions.
- Prepare and distribute Guarantee Sheets and Function Sheets.
- Set up and maintain department files.
- Manage financial targets and maintain financial/administrative records and event files.
- Serve as liaison between Culinaire and clients.
- Negotiate contracts with customers and monitor quality.
- Assist in planning new promotions and initiatives for Catering and retail outlets.
- Actively participate in raising service and presentation levels across all departments.
- Troubleshoot as required and perform duties as set forth by the General Manager.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of previous experience in a quality establishment.
- Proven ability to interact well with multiple departments.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Flexible work schedule, including availability on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
- Pleasant, outgoing, and attentive demeanor.
- Neat, well-groomed appearance.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Computer proficiency.
Pay
Salary: $55,000 to $65,000. Additional compensation includes commission.
