About the role
The Position Très LA Group is seeking a powerhouse hospitality professional to step into a high impact leadership role as our Director of Catering Sales. This is not a sit behind the desk sales role. We are looking for someone who thrives in the field, loves the energy of events, naturally builds relationships everywhere they go, and knows how to turn connections into long term business partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Drive aggressive outbound sales efforts focused on high end corporate events, luxury social celebrations, brand activations, nonprofit galas, entertainment industry events, and large scale offsite catering opportunities
- Generate and close multimillion dollar annual catering revenue through networking, prospecting, referrals, partnerships, and relationship cultivation
- Maintain a strong and visible presence within the hospitality and events industry through networking events, tastings, industry organizations, venue partnerships, and client entertainment
- Create compelling tastings, sales presentations, and industry networking events that showcase the Très LA experience with confidence and excitement
- Create polished, strategic proposals and presentations tailored to each client's vision and priorities
- Partner closely with Culinary, Production, Beverage, Staffing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional client experiences
- Discover and capture commercial prospects across Southern California, emphasizing growth within the Orange County and Greater Los Angeles markets
- Maintain organized reporting, accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and revenue reporting
- Serve as a passionate ambassador for the Très LA brand both internally and externally
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in catering sales, luxury hospitality sales, event production sales, or venue sales
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in hospitality or events
- Existing book of business with proven ability to generate substantial annual revenue
- Existing network of planners, producers, venues, agencies, corporate contacts, and hospitality professionals
- Demonstrated success producing and personally closing $2M+ in annual catering or event related revenue
- Expert understanding of offsite catering operations and logistics
- Experience selling both venue based and offsite catering events preferred
- Experience using Tripleseat strongly preferred
- Able to travel throughout California (primarily centered around Los Angeles) for meetings, tours, tastings, networking events, and client visits
- Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evening networking events and hospitality functions

- You thrive in fast paced hospitality environments and know how to navigate high pressure situations with professionalism and grace
- You have strong emotional intelligence and know how to build trust quickly with clients and partners
- You understand both the sales strategy and operational complexity behind successful catering and event execution
- You are highly organized, proactive, polished, and accountable
- You are competitive, ambitious, and motivated by growth, revenue, and results
- You are collaborative and understand that exceptional hospitality requires strong partnership across departments

Pay
Base salary: $100,000 to $120,000 annually
Commission structure with realistic on target earnings between $150,00 - $200,000
High earning potential for top performers
