Job Summary

As a Director of Campaigns and Fundraising Strategy, you will support clients from healthcare systems, academic medical centers, colleges and universities, arts and cultural organizations, and other nonprofits to advance their missions. This role works as part of a team on client engagements, providing support for data acquisition, analysis, recommendation creation, and deliverable production. You will work under the direction of project engagement managers and utilize BWF's methodology to prepare client deliverables, including reports and other materials.

Essential Functions

  • Perform client work independently and as part of a team.
  • Complete tasks and projects for external clients that may include program reviews, fundraising strategy development and implementation, feasibility studies, campaign counsel, board engagement, and other services as needed.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal team members and clients to ensure delivery of cohesive and quality work product delivered by deadline.
  • Serve as a key project team member for multi-team engagements in defined roles as outlined in project scope and as defined by the project engagement manager.
  • Contributes ideas and support innovative approaches to problem solving.
  • Support sales functions of the related team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of donor facing fundraising experience in a higher education, healthcare, or other nonprofit setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, and a solid strategic thinking ability for report writing.
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrates a strong professional presence in all interactions.
  • Commitment to an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture.

Work Environment/Conditions

  • This position can be remote or based in our Minneapolis office (locally based employees are expected to maintain a hybrid office presence).
  • Position requires ability to work in a stationary position for majority of workday.
  • Continuous use of computer.
  • Frequent communication with team and clients via zoom and in person.
  • This is an exempt position that requires at least 40 hours of work per week but additional hours are required when deadlines need to be met.
  • Overnight travel to client sites, conferences, or firm meetings is sometimes required (up to 50%).

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 (plus bonus potential) based on qualifications and experience. BWF offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
