Campaign Strategy Director
The Position
FanDuel is seeking a Campaign Strategy Director to join our Sportsbook Campaign Strategy team. The role involves developing and executing marketing campaign strategies that drive business growth across key verticals, working closely with cross-functional partners.
The Game Plan
- Develop and evolve campaign strategy based on commercial objectives and market insights, ensuring alignment across all marketing verticals and sports moments.
- Own the translation of commercial objectives and customer insights into strategic, high-impact creative briefs that guide all campaign development and ensure consistent quality and brand alignment.
- Lead and coordinate with external agencies and internal creative teams to ensure all campaign work aligns with FanDuel brand identity and strategic direction.
- Own the planning and flawless execution of major tentpole campaigns rooted in customer insights and commercial objectives, with clearly defined KPIs and success metrics.
- Coordinate key deliverables across teams to ensure alignment on strategy, timelines, output expectations, operating from a single shared playbook.
- Deliver post-campaign analysis and data-driven learnings, translating insights into actionable recommendations that optimize future campaigns and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a key marketing liaison for product integrations across multiple teams, working hand-in-hand with Commercial, Product, and Creative Ops to deliver the best customer experience.
Stats
- 8+ years of experience in campaign strategy and/or brand marketing either with top-tier consumer brands or agencies.
- Strategic mindset – Ability to develop and evolve campaign strategy based on business objectives, market dynamics, and performance insights to drive category leadership.
- Cross-functional collaboration – Experience leading cross-team efforts to establish and maintain a cohesive communications strategy across the customer lifecycle.
- Creative leadership – Experience in developing creative briefs, overseeing asset production, approvals, and versioning in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving – Comfortable planning ahead for major tentpole moments, identifying risks, and mitigating roadblocks before they arise.
- Excellent communication skills – Able to articulate campaign strategy and results through compelling presentations, postmortems, and reports that drive stakeholder alignment and organizational learning.
- Sports & gaming affinity – Genuine enthusiasm for sports culture with instinct for what resonates with sports fans and bettors, or proven ability to quickly develop this domain expertise.

- The applicable salary range for this position is $146,000 - $183,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand.

- This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.
