About the role
The Director of Business Development - OEM position is located in the San Francisco Bay Area or on the West Coast. This role requires establishing strong relationships with key personnel in the semiconductor, advanced packaging, and printed circuit board industries.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage existing and new business opportunities and market initiatives
- Identify and connect end users (OEMs, OSATS, IDMs) with appropriate BU/sales personnel
- Work closely with various BUs, regional sales teams, and upper management to drive POR specifications at OEMs
- Build team synergy and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of technical and business information
- Lead and manage priority growth projects at end users
- Participate in major electronics conferences and create webinars to increase MKS's visibility as a leading technology provider
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the semiconductor, advanced packaging, and PCB industries
- Strong knowledge and network of regional and international end users and supply chain partners
- Excellent project management skills, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in technical documentation and submission processes
- Willingness to travel as required
Qualifications
- Ability to take and follow directions and instructions
- Ability to interact professionally with other employees, customers, suppliers, vendors, or the public
- Access to sensitive and confidential business systems and software
Skills
- Knowledge of current and future OEM & Tier-1 supplier requirements and standards in semiconductor, advanced packaging, and PCB industries
- Technical documentation and submission process proficiency
Pay
$200,000 - $300,000 annually
