About the role

The Director of Business Development - OEM position is located in the San Francisco Bay Area or on the West Coast. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and managing business opportunities and market initiatives, building networks with key personnel, and working with various business units and upper management to drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage existing and new business opportunities and market initiatives
  • Establish strong relationships with end users (OEMs, OSATS, IDMs), supply chain partners, and direct customers
  • Connect end users and supply chain partners with appropriate business units and sales personnel
  • Work closely with BU, regional sales teams, and upper management to identify and evaluate opportunities and convert technology leads into sales by driving POR specifications at OEMs
  • Lead and manage priority growth projects at end users, including support from BU applications, R&D, manufacturing, and quality resources
  • Partner with BU product marketing and regional sales to provide technical documentation and product compliance necessary for specification and work with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to coordinate POR approvals
  • Participate in major electronics conferences and create webinars to increase MKS's visibility as a leading technology provider

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the Semiconductor, advanced packaging, and printed circuit board (PCB) industries
  • Strong knowledge and contact base of regional and international end users and supply chain partners
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, effective in cross-functional teams, with proficiency in technical documentation and submission processes
  • Willingness to travel as required

  • Ability to interact with other employees, customers, suppliers, vendors, or the public in a safe, professional, and respectful manner
  • Access to sensitive and confidential business systems and software, personally identifying information, the company's financial information, and/or the ability to maintain physical security and safety

Pay

$200,000 - $300,000 per year
