About the role
The Ballard Center is seeking a Director of Business Development to join our dynamic team. This position offers a competitive salary range of $175k - $250k.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement marketing and public relations programs to increase resident census.
- Provide detailed information about the facility, services, and programs to the community.
- Promote the facility and its services to various stakeholders including physicians, discharge planners, local business leaders, churches, schools, and other community members.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of admission requirements, services, programs, and policies.
- Conduct tours for prospective residents and their families, and perform pre-admission interviews.
- Organize and deliver direct sales calls and public presentations to effectively communicate the facility’s offerings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key community partners to promote services and strengthen the facility’s reputation.
- Evaluate and direct marketing strategies to ensure long-term growth.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, and community relations as they pertain to nursing facility operations.
- Ability to make direct sales calls and deliver public presentations effectively.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, and regulations that relate to long-term care.
Nice to have
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing/public relations in healthcare or a skilled nursing facility, including supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field from an accredited college.
- Experience in nursing or clinical work is a plus.
