About the role

The Director of Assisted Living at MBK Senior Living is a key position responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of residents in our assisted living facilities. This role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • (20%) Conduct and coordinate the potential assisted living resident assessment program
  • (20%) Conduct routinely scheduled re-assessments on each assisted living resident
  • (15%) Recruit, interview, hire, manage, schedule, motivate, evaluate and supervise department staff
  • (10%) Daily review of timekeeping, meal breaks and overtime; create and conduct orientation for new Team Members; ensure on-going training and education for all Team Members
  • (5%) Perform all administrative duties accurately and timely including Team Member evaluations, necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, surveys, resident records, assessments, care profiles, etc.
  • (5%) Coordinate prescription orders with doctors’ offices, as well as pharmacy delivery of medications
  • (5%) Ensure the overall safety and health of all assisted living residents
  • (5%) Aid in the community marketing effort through positive interactions, acting as a liaison between the community, and families/outside health service providers
  • (5%) Non-Essential Job Duties: Perform other job duties or special projects as assigned/requested by the Executive Director

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior related work experience functioning in a similar assisted living management role in the industry or similar work environment
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Must complete Background clearances (as required by government regulations)
  • Must complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
  • Must have solid pc skills and be familiar with several Microsoft Office Suite software programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Email, etc.), and other office equipment (e.g. scanners, copiers, and fax machines)
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write and read English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction and multiplication) as required for personnel actions, budget and other financial responsibilities
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and to remain calm during stressful or emergency situations
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members, and guests

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of college in human services, health care, or related field preferred
  • Completed all of the required specialized Nursing coursework for certification as an RN, LPN or LVN preferred
  • Certified RN, LPN, or LVN preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Human Services or Health Care field preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to senior living and healthcare

Pay

$64,000 - $68,000 per year
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus (to be paid after 90 days of start date)

Schedule

Full Time, Monday - Friday, (9:00 am - 5:00 pm + as needed/on call)
