Director of Accounting

Essential Functions

• Generates and presents financial statements to CFO on a monthly basis.
• Manages organizational budget.
• Prepares and submits Medicaid and Medicare cost reports.
• Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Aids in the development and implementation of financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll goals, policies, priorities, and procedures.

Other Functions

• Supervises and prepares grant and contract fiscal reports and requirements.
• Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records, legers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
• Collaborates in the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
• Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
• Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
• Carries out general support activities and special projects as required.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of related experience required.
