Director, NICU-Nursery FT Days

JOB SUMMARY

The NICU Director is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, The Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.

About the role

Directs and supervises personnel in the NICU.

Responsibilities

• Assures the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the NICU at all times.

Requirements

• Maintains written documentation of the qualification and responsibilities of the CCS certified community NICU Director.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state accredited school of nursing.
• BS in Nursing.
• Current CA RN license.
• Current NRP and BLS provider.
• Certificate of completion from NICU training program.
• 3 years of clinical nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in a regional or community NICU.
• NICU CCRN preferred.
