Director, Network Operations
Job Location: Remote US/USA
About the role
As a Director, Network Operations, you will lead the VSN MNS Operations, including the design/engineering, project management, NOC services, and installation departments. You will collaborate with various departments to grow the business and make strategic decisions that impact the entire VSN operation.
Responsibilities
- Financial Responsibilities: Maintain budgeted profit margins, lead pricing and cost reduction initiatives, attend monthly financial reviews with Vector senior leadership.
- Operational / Process Issues: Evaluate, adjust, and assist in developing operational infrastructure for Installation, Engineering, Billing, Accounts Payable, Procurement, NOC Services, and Technical Services. Communicate corporate office initiatives to department managers and plan and implement the VSN remote office expansion program.
- Employee Responsibilities: Perform performance management and development, recruit and hire talent, build and maintain team atmosphere, promote Vector values and culture, enforce company policies and procedures.
- Accounting Responsibilities: Collaborate with accounting management to streamline processes for better efficiency.
- Customer Responsibilities: Attend sales appointments, assist sales team in evaluating potential new business, work with customer base to ensure satisfaction.
- Other Responsibilities: Attend industry trade shows.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in Executive Management, Business Management, Communications, or related field
- 12+ years of management experience with an industry financial background and a desire for continued professional development
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel (complex spreadsheets are used for various tracking and management)
- Organization Skills: Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, meet customer deadlines consistently and reliably
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, confidentiality, decision-making, and integrity
