The Director, National Field Access (Central) is a high-impact leadership role based in the United States. This position combines strategic leadership, operational execution, and hands-on problem solving to ensure patients receive timely access to critical therapies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, PharmD, or similar preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, reimbursement, or market access roles.
  • At least 5 years of direct leadership experience managing field-based teams such as Field Reimbursement Managers, Access Specialists, or related patient access professionals.
  • Experience working within complex therapeutic areas such as rare disease, endocrinology, specialty medicine, or other high-touch access environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. payer and reimbursement landscape, including prior authorization processes, appeals, specialty pharmacy models, HUB operations, and patient support programs.
  • Experience supporting product launches or post-launch access initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive performance through teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and resolve complex business challenges.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and convert insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region, up to 60%, for field engagement and team support.
