Position Summary

Responsible for managing multiple On-site and Off-site Reprocessing Centers, ensuring daily production meets quality standards, and meeting Hospital C Suite customer expectations through proactive management and compliance with contractual obligations.

Leadership

  • Motivate and manage a leadership team to provide excellent day-to-day service to support multiple healthcare sterile processing departments both on and off site.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relations to ensure satisfaction of customer deliverables.
  • Determine appropriate staff mix for multiple departments at multiple sites and align staff with fluctuating demand.
  • Build a team with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet and exceed customer needs and demands.
  • Instill a culture of safety and retention through motivational leadership and positive employee engagement.

CUSTOMERS

  • Build a web of influence with decision-makers at the highest levels of the organization.
  • Ensure delivery of Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the resolution of customer issues in a timely and efficient manner by identifying root causes and developing measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain strong relationships to ensure a high-quality product is provided in accordance with contractual scope.
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with customers or other quality review requirements as outlined in customer agreements.

OPERATIONS/PROCESSES

  • Understand and manage Instrument Processing Division's processes and implement in multiple sites and ORC, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Develop, enforce, and implement policies, new processes, procedures, product conversions, new services, and programs in collaboration with stakeholders to improve customer service.
  • Drive cost reduction through staff development and continuous improvement.
  • Use non-conformance documentation to identify areas of deficiency and create corrective action plans.
  • Translate and implement business strategies using project management and strategic thinking.

Collaboration & Support

  • Collaborate with Operations Team, Business Development Team, and STERIS IPT and Service Teams to grow market share and achieve business objectives.
  • Execute customer contracts in partnership with the Business Development Team, ensuring on-site support during pre-transition and go-live phases, and identifying steady-state service provisions.
  • Manage customer invoicing questions, handle customer credits, and ensure accurate process for providing finance with needed customer information and billing data.

Required Experience

  • Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM required (certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire).
  • Managerial, analytical, organizational skills, and financial acumen (8+ Years).
  • Recruitment, training, and motivation of personnel to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth (8+ Years).
  • Experience in process management and quality control (7+ Years).
  • Solid understanding and leadership experience in Lean Manufacturing (4+ Years).
  • Excellent multi-tasking, priority setting capabilities (4+ Years).
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills (4+ Years).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (4+ Years).
  • Capable of learning additional software as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Instrument tracking software and employee management system experience (1+ Years).
  • Medical instrument knowledge (1+ Years).
  • Solid understanding of Sterile Processing, Operating Room, and Material Management functions (1+ Years).

Skills

  • Pay range for this opportunity is $124,737.50 - $161,425.00.
  • This position is eligible for bonus participation.
  • Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
