For our client, we are seeking a Director, Lifecycle Marketing Operations to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will own the operational engine behind lifecycle and messaging campaigns, with a strong focus on campaign execution, deliverability, and governance. You will lead the transition from manual processes to scalable automation while helping shape the lifecycle roadmap and future channel strategy. This is a highly cross-functional role partnering closely with MarTech, engineering, and marketing stakeholders to improve performance, quality, and operational efficiency. Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $211,000 – $275,000 annually Responsibilities Create and manage the messaging operations engine and define its strategy for campaign execution and deliverability Oversee the end-to-end operational process from project intake to deployment while maintaining high standards and quality Lead the transition from manual execution to automation, incorporating learnings into the lifecycle roadmap Ensure governance for all messaging, including channel standards and compliance in a regulated environment Drive channel excellence across email, SMS, and in-app messaging, scouting new channels for future needs Build and lead a technical team to enhance execution capabilities and set clear expectations for success Collaborate with MarTech and engineering teams to translate marketing strategies into actionable messaging campaigns Qualifications 8+ years in marketing or CRM operations, lifecycle execution, or martech, including 3+ years in leadership roles Deep expertise with engagement and CRM platforms such as Braze or similar tools for campaign operations and automation Strong governance skills with the ability to enforce compliance and deliverability standards in a high-volume environment Proven track record in scaling manual processes toward automation, with a strategic view on AI integration Extensive knowledge of channel health and deliverability metrics like sender reputation and inbox placement Strong analytical skills with a focus on operational metrics and strategic risk management Ability to align cross-functional teams on strategy while translating technical details for varied audiences Benefits In-office work policy with four days in the office and flexible work options on Fridays Comprehensive benefits including backup care for children, elders, and pets Generous vacation policy and additional paid days off 1% of work time dedicated to community service of choice Wellness stipend for eligible health-related expenses Up to 22 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents Access to family planning reimbursement opportunities Opportunity to work with a highly experienced FinTech team focused on empowering financial growth Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
