Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs and manages all aspects of leadership and team member development, understanding the business, culture, engagement and talent needs.
  • Designs and oversees implementation of leadership and organizational development solutions with high impact instructional materials, in-depth business client engagement, program facilitation, coaching and relationship management.
  • Manages and leads the Team Member and Provider/Clinician Engagement surveys including post survey action planning and efforts.
  • Manages and leads acclimation, onboarding and exit survey process to identify means to improve the workplace culture and experience.
  • Develops and delivers innovative, interactive, varied platforms and training and development methodologies including large and small group facilitation, in person and virtual instructor led sessions, assessment debriefs, individual coaching / executive coaching, and integration of speakers and outside experts.
  • Leads our LDI (Leadership Development Institute) efforts and all other leadership and team development programs.
  • Maintains, creates and analyzes department data and metrics necessary for creating strategic programming for the team member experience.
  • Ensures partnership with the business to define strategic objectives and talent development/succession planning needs.
  • Supports the talent acquisition team with our selection process by identifying and/or holding credentials to assist with leadership and candidate selection through various OD assessment tools like Hogan or other identified tools.
  • Oversees operational change management, which includes but is not limited to, supporting and enhancing the health of an organization when there are changes to the routine operational workforce, reporting structure, downsizing, acquisitions or business processes. May include, but not limited to, process and systems related to performance management, diversity and inclusion, team member wellness, patient satisfaction, team member engagement, and organizational performance.
  • Promotes team member recognition and celebration programs and initiatives.
  • Creates an integrated service delivery model through leadership, training, and organizational development.
  • Plans, maintains, and directs the operation of the Leadership and Organizational budget and contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to help devise a strategic DEIB/HE plan for Bayhealth in alignment with overall system goals.
  • Partners with the Director, Employee Relations & HR Regulatory Compliance, Director, Talent Acquisition, and Director, Total Rewards to help recruit, retain and engage diverse staff in alignment with the organization’s goals.
  • Builds trusted relationships with our diverse team member population to assist them in their development by providing career support and actionable feedback.
  • Serves as a stakeholder in support of the department-wide Health Equity Initiatives.

Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor Degree Human Resources Management Or a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field of study.
  • Credential(s): None Required.
  • Experience: Required: 5 years’ progressive experience in strategizing leadership development and workforce management (recruitment, development, retention). Prior leadership experience of leading and directing teams at the supervisor, manager or director level. Appropriate and comprehensive experience in talent acquisition, workforce strategy, organizational development and change management. Proven experience implementing a multi-faceted / enterprise strategic workforce planning program, inclusive of forecasting and action planning. Experience leading well-performing, action-driven teams.
