About the role
Glocomms is partnering with an established manufacturing organization to find a Director of IT & Infrastructure. This leader will drive technology strategy and business systems that support manufacturing operations, finance, and related functions. The role serves as a strategic partner to operational leadership, oversees enterprise applications, and leads initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and business performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute IT strategy supporting manufacturing operations, finance, and other business functions.
- Partner with senior business leaders to identify current and future technology needs.
- Lead technology initiatives that improve operational efficiency, business processes, and data management.
- Oversee enterprise applications, including ERP platforms and internally developed systems.
- Ensure business systems are effectively maintained, enhanced, and integrated across the organization.
- Manage and develop high-performing IT teams, including coaching, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- Direct departmental budgeting, resource planning, and vendor engagement activities.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and other IT teams to ensure secure and reliable technology services.
- Lead organizational change related to technology implementation and process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of information technology experience.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing IT teams and business technology initiatives.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations as an IT leader.
- Strong background leading ERP modernization or transformation programs.
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, enterprise applications, and business process improvement.
- Experience partnering with manufacturing, finance, quality, or operational leadership teams.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive business-focused technology solutions.
- Strong financial and budget management experience.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience within complex manufacturing or industrial environments (manufacturing, industrial, utilities, engineering, energy, or other production-focused organizations considered).
- Track record of leading enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
