Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and delivery of a federated asset data platform that ingests cloud-native inventory services, SaaS management data, endpoint management APIs, and identity/directory systems.
  • Architects and implements integrations that connect and normalize asset data from a separate network device ITAM platform into the central configuration management platform, reducing current siloed reporting.
  • Integrates cybersecurity vulnerability and endpoint detection data as an additional source for asset visibility and risk correlation.
  • Buils real-time and event-driven integrations that normalize, deduplicate, and synchronize asset data across the enterprise to replace manual imports and spreadsheet reconciliations.
  • Triangulates incomplete and inconsistent asset data across multiple sources to produce a reliable, unified asset record.
  • Owes the technical integration roadmap end to end, from quick wins through multi-year architecture and execution.
  • Evaluates and participates in the platform selection process, supporting requirements gathering and owning the technical migration plan and execution.
  • Drives automation of asset data accuracy and completeness by engineering data collection, enrichment, and reconciliation workflows across all asset categories.
  • Partners with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to streamline ITAM workflows and align asset data with financial and vendor management processes.
  • Collaborates with engineering and security stakeholders to ensure asset data is operationally meaningful, accurate, and actionable.
  • Explores and integrates Cloud FinOps data as a complementary layer for asset and cost visibility.
  • Drives adoption of automation and AI-enabled workflows for IT operations tasks, including asset governance, anomaly detection, lifecycle alerting, and policy enforcement.
  • Promotes the use of existing toolkits and establishes integration best practices across the broader I&O organization.
  • Moves the team from rule-based automation toward AI-assisted and AI-driven workflows with measurable reductions in manual effort.
  • Serves as an in-house AI thought leader for ITAM and automation by staying current on AI/LLM developments, experimenting pragmatically, and applying new capabilities to asset data and automation problems.
  • Serves as an integration leader across Cloud, Identity, Networking, Security, SRE, and Unified Communications engineering teams without relying on formal authority.
  • Coordinates integration work and platform decisions with the ServiceNow developer embedded in the group and the ServiceNow platform owner.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a technical discipline, with ideal backgrounds including data engineering, automation engineering, cloud engineering, RPA, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering integrations across heterogeneous enterprise systems, including cloud platforms, SaaS tools, on-prem infrastructure, and identity providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to wrangle incomplete and inconsistent data across many sources and triangulate to a reliable result.
  • Fluency with REST and GraphQL APIs, event-driven integration patterns, and data pipeline design (extraction, normalization, deduplication, synchronization).
  • Scripting and automation proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or similar, with experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent) as a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native asset or inventory services, including AWS Config, Azure Resource Graph, GCP Asset Inventory, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and own a technical roadmap end to end.
  • Project management mindset to juggle migrations, integration work, and ongoing operations simultaneously.
  • Track record of influencing technical outcomes across peer engineering teams without direct authority.
  • Experience presenting technical strategy and program updates to senior executives and translating complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong business acumen to evaluate cost, efficiency, and risk tradeoffs and make defensible recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment; remote-only candidates will not be considered.
