Director, Integrated Systems

About the Role
As Director, Integrated Systems, you will lead the Electric Power Systems, Integrated Systems product line at our Rockford, IL facility. You will oversee program managers responsible for ATA Chapter 24 programs, military programs, and collaborate with other strategic business units on new distribution technology. This role involves strategic collaboration with the CE&S group to advance the product line with OEMs, serving as a customer escalation point from Program Kick-Off through Entry into Service. You will ensure contract execution, RLPM adherence, and lead contract negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage 4 program managers and other staff.
- Accountable for all customer commitments, including deliveries and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee key financial and product performance metrics for the product line.
- Plan, direct, and monitor collateral budget.
- Provide inputs to the Strategic and Financial Plan (SFP) for product scope.
- Manage changes to products within the product line or family.
- Collaborate across Electric Power Systems (EPS) product lines to support multiple customers.
- Influence and negotiate to achieve and exceed commitments.
- Lead complex, matrixed teams and apply critical thinking in decision-making.
- Develop networks and communicate vision to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and stakeholders.
- Travel 10–20%, domestically and internationally, as required by the business.
Qualifications
You Must Have
- University Degree and minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with budget ownership, forecasting, and P&L exposure.
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans.
- Operational management experience with KPIs, process improvement, and organizational performance.
- Experience managing complex projects, programs, or business units.
- Experience with proposals and customer negotiations.

- Background in organizational change initiatives.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $186,200 – $353,800 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, depending on the level of the position and whether it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments are not guaranteed and depend on individual, business unit, and company performance.
