Director, Systems Integration

About the role

The Director, Systems Integration is responsible for managing the development and support of integration projects. They must have extensive experience with integration tools like MuleSoft, Kafta, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of integration solutions.
• Lead the portfolio of integration between applications.
• Provide technical thought leadership on integration solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve tools and approaches.
• Provide high-level estimates for integration work in support of project estimation.
• Serve as subject matter expert for primary interface engines.
• Manage a team of integration engineers.
• Mentor and coach integration team members.
• Collaborate with end-users to understand requirements and design solutions.
• Evaluate options and develop technical designs.
• Work with development teams to ensure proper patterns and practices are used.
• Represent integration resources in planning sessions.
• Perform analysis of customer and vendor requirements and create technical design specifications.
• Implement best practices for technology and coding standards.
• Maintain detailed systems documentation.
• Perform bug fixing, troubleshooting, and assist in user support.
• Assess technical debt and priorities with development teams to ensure solutions are sustainable and production-ready.
• Manage development skill assessments and provide feedback to developers.
• Translate client requirements into software developer requirements.
• Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously.
• Show strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Work cross-functionally and lead by influence.
• Build professional business programs and processes.
• Work independently and take ownership of actions and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of development experience.
• At least 3 years of Boomi experience and 5+ years with other middleware or integration platforms like Dell Boomi, Informatica, Mulesoft, BizTalk, etc.
• Understanding of integration architecture options such as SOA and APIs.
• Experience designing and developing SOAP and REST-based web service interfaces using XML, JSON.
• Experience managing, deploying, and supporting APIs.
• Experience implementing small to large scale integration solutions using various technologies.
• Experience delivering integrated solutions using Agile, Test/Model-Driven techniques.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (Unit Testing).
• Required certification in Mulesoft or similar products.
