Position Summary

Provides leadership and oversight of all fitness operations and programming within LifeStyles, Valley’s Health and Wellness Center. Serves as the primary liaison and on-site director for the facility, addressing building-level operational matters and coordinating resolution with services housed in the building—including Clinical Services, Administrative Departments, tenant partners, and Facilities— or appropriate external departments and leadership.

About the Role

Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, Health & Wellness, Business, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred. BLS required. Relevant professional certifications or credentials in fitness, wellness, sports performance, clinical, or management disciplines preferred. MFA Director Certification preferred and supported as part of ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Clinical Services, Administrative Departments, tenant partners, facilities teams, and community-based partners to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Address building-level operational matters and coordinate resolution with appropriate external departments and leadership.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of all fitness operations and programming within LifeStyles, Valley’s Health and Wellness Center.
  • Serve as the primary liaison and on-site director for the facility, addressing building-level operational matters and coordinating resolution with services housed in the building.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, balancing operational demands, staff needs, and organizational priorities.
  • Effectively communicate information, set expectations, and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across clinical services, administrative departments, tenant partners, facilities teams, and community-based partners.
  • Handle concerns, complaints, and service recovery for diverse populations with a customer service orientation.
  • Make sound judgments and decisions, including the ability to address matters at the building level and escalate through leadership channels when necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in fitness, wellness, sports performance, or health-related operations, including demonstrated responsibility for team leadership, program oversight, and facility operations.
  • Experience in a medical fitness, hospital-affiliated, or multidisciplinary environment is preferred.

Qualifications

Relevant professional certifications or credentials in fitness, wellness, sports performance, clinical, or management disciplines preferred. MFA Director Certification preferred and supported as part of ongoing professional development.

Pay

The posted pay range reflects the compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) The salary listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay Range: $125,715.20 - $157,144.00
