Director, Human Resources Business Partner
About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR leader to join our rapidly expanding venture-backed health tech company as HR Director supporting our Operations and G&A organizations. In this role, you'll act as the senior strategic people partner to our Finance, Legal, Operations, and People teams, helping shape how we attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. You'll work closely with leadership to foster a high-performing and inclusive culture, lead organizational design efforts, and implement people programs that can scale alongside the business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic HR partner to Finance, Legal, Operations, and People leaders, connecting people strategy to business priorities
- Lead organizational design and workforce planning for the Operations and G&A organizations, partnering with leaders on headcount planning, team structures, and hiring priorities
- Develop and implement performance management programs aligned with the workflows and needs of technical teams
- Lead talent development initiatives, including manager enablement, career frameworks, and leveling, to support the growth of engineers and PMs
- Promote a strong and sustainable culture across a hybrid technical workforce, leveraging data and engagement insights to proactively identify and address organizational health issues
- Advise leaders on complex employee relations matters and ensure policies are applied consistently and fairly across the organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Recruiting, Total Rewards, and L&D to deliver cohesive people programs
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in HR or People Operations, with substantial experience directly supporting corporate and G&A organizations
- Deep knowledge across core HR areas including performance management, organizational design, Total Rewards, and employee relations
- Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships with senior technical leaders and influence effectively without direct authority
- Strong analytical approach with the ability to use people data to identify issues and evaluate program effectiveness
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and discretion when managing sensitive employee matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills
- Experience supporting corporate functions within a venture-backed company experiencing rapid growth
- Familiarity with engineering career paths, technical leveling, or individual contributor/manager dual-track frameworks
- Experience working with globally distributed teams

Pay
$164k to $205k annually.
