The Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research role is seeking a subject matter expert to lead impactful healthcare research initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead retrospective cohort studies using real-world data sources, including claims data and external datasets.
- Develop and execute research proposals, study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and analytical strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a Health Economics and Outcomes Research subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance across research initiatives and business opportunities.
- Analyze research findings, interpret results, and oversee the development of reports, presentations, abstracts, manuscripts, white papers, and other dissemination materials.
- Manage multiple research and analytics projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations are successfully met.
- Cook up project teams, define resource requirements, track progress, and remove barriers to ensure successful execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to support new engagements and expand existing partnerships.
- Provide consulting expertise to identify client needs, recommend solutions, and translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy requirements, confidentiality standards, and organizational policies.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Health Economics and Outcomes Research, pharmacoeconomics, health economics, public health, healthcare management, health policy, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant healthcare industry experience with deep expertise in HEOR methods, observational research, and real-world data analysis.
- At least 3 years of experience managing complex projects from inception through completion, including planning, budgeting, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong background in consulting, client engagement, and translating technical research findings into business recommendations.
- Experience evaluating research outcomes and presenting insights through professional reports and executive-level presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with SharePoint is preferred.
- Experience with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes is a plus.
