About the role
The Director of Graduate Programs in Education plays a key leadership role in the successful implementation of the College of Professional Studies' (CPS) vision for educational growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Establish strategic priorities and identify opportunities for the education portfolio in alignment with the College's strategic plan, enrollment objectives, and revenue goals.
- Forecast annual enrollment and revenue goals for the education portfolio in collaboration with the CPS Dean and senior leadership team.
- Provide program-level data and analysis to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial reconciliation for the education portfolio.
- Directly supervise Education Program faculty, subject matter experts, and CPS staff, including the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs in Education, to promote student success and satisfaction.
- Provide cross-functional leadership for the education portfolio by supporting program and audience development, assisting with student recruitment, retention, and persistence initiatives, coordinating the development of online courses, workshops, and training modules, evaluating educational programs, courses, and learning products, implementing strategic initiatives, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and student-centered culture, and performing other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. required, along with 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in program administration and leadership, preferably in higher education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Demonstrated experience using data to inform decision-making, strategic planning, and program improvement.
- Experience with online and technology-enabled education is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across the College, the University, and with external partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
