About the role

This 10-month, tenure-track position begins in Fall 2026 and is housed in the Education Department. It emphasizes the integration of literacy education with effective strategies for teaching English Language Learners (ELLs).

Responsibilities

• Prepare preservice teachers to implement evidence-based strategies for supporting English Language Learners.
• Teach courses focused on literacy development across childhood and adolescence.
• Contribute to literacy and ELL curriculum development.
• Deliver instruction in pedagogical methods.

Requirements

• Demonstrate evidence of effective teaching.
• Have a record of publication and scholarly activity.
• Make meaningful service contributions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Literacy Education or related field.
• Experience teaching English Language Learners.
• Strong record of scholarly activity.
• Ability to teach in both face-to-face and online modalities.
