About the role
The Program Director (PD) oversees an Associate's Degree program at Regis College, fulfilling both administrative and academic responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Meet and fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member as outlined in the nursing faculty job description.
- Administer and support the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new faculty and students.
- Manage the production of marketing materials and coordinate with external partners.
- Facilitate curriculum development and program advancement, including course development and evaluation.
- Mentor faculty to maintain high-quality curricula and participate in accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with the Dean in program planning and development.
- Conduct classes as scheduled, prepare and proctor exams, and evaluate student performance.
- Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees to improve public relations and contribute to the school’s success.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in nursing is required, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree preferred.
- At least two years of progressive higher education experience and two years of leadership experience are required.
- A current unencumbered registered nurse license in Massachusetts is necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work with a diverse group of students are essential.
- A student-centered focus and a commitment to student success are required.
- An attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are important.
- Positive role modeling skills are valued.
Curriculum
Teach in the program, coordinate curriculum implementation, and participate in all aspects of curriculum evaluation.
Other Responsibilities
- Conduct classes as scheduled and follow the final exam schedule as published by the Office of the Registrar.
- Notify the School Dean when absent from class and provide updates on absences.
- Prepare, proctor, and correct student examinations; evaluate student achievement; and direct and read student papers and reports.
- Issue and clear “I” grades in accordance with the policy in the Academic Catalog.
- Attend all faculty meetings and contribute to the improvement of public relations for the School and University.
- Participate in student functions and actively engage in scholarship and professional development activities.
Pay
$80,262 - $82,270 annually
Schedule
Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc. May spend extended periods at terminals, on telephones, or operating other office machines.
