About the role
We are hiring a Director, Finance Go To Market Business Partner at Altus Group. This is a hybrid role based out of our New York office.
Responsibilities
- Partner across the commercial organization.
- You will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales leadership, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders to support commercial strategy, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing decisions, and overall business performance across the global organization.
- You will drive forecasting, annual planning, quota alignment, commission analysis, expense management, and recurring revenue reporting activities, ensuring commercial objectives align with financial performance and long-term business goals.
- You will provide financial insights, business case analysis, and performance reporting that supports investment decisions, go-to-market initiatives, new product launches, and ongoing business growth opportunities.
- You will participate in deal reviews, pricing approvals, and non-standard commercial arrangements while partnering with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure alignment with operational processes and revenue recognition requirements.
- You will identify opportunities to strengthen forecasting accuracy, reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment while helping evolve how the business measures and manages commercial performance.
- You will build trusted relationships across the business, acting as a strategic advisor and collaborative partner to leaders across Finance and the commercial organization, bringing strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- Lead commercial finance planning and analysis.

- You will identify opportunities to strengthen forecasting accuracy, reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment while helping evolve how the business measures and manages commercial performance.

Requirements
- You have progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, sales finance, or go-to-market finance within a SaaS, software, technology, or recurring revenue environment.
- You understand how commercial organizations operate and how finance can act as a strategic partner to support growth, scalability, and performance.
- You are comfortable partnering with Sales, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders, balancing financial rigor with business objectives.
- You have strong financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, along with experience working with large datasets, SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, and business performance analysis.
- You have exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Workday, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms.
- You can translate complex financial information into actionable business insights and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
- You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, influencing decision-making, and navigating challenging or fast-paced conversations.
- You are naturally curious and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, reporting, visibility, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications
- You have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in a SaaS, software, technology, or recurring revenue environment.
- You have a CPA or CMA certification.
Skills
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience working with large datasets, SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, and business performance analysis.
- Exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Workday, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and influence skills.
- Ability to navigate pricing discussions, forecasting conversations, investment decisions, and commercial trade-offs with confidence and credibility.
- Natural curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Benefits
Actual offers may differ based on experience, market conditions, and other relevant factors. The range does not include additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, benefits, or other incentives.
Pay
The compensation range for this role at Altus Group is $200,000 - $225,000. The actual offer may vary based on experience, market conditions, and other relevant factors.
