About the role
This role is responsible for architecting and orchestrating the long-term EHS roadmap to drive cross-business consistency, operational efficiency, and process automation.
Responsibilities
- Architecting and orchestrating the long-term EHS roadmap to drive cross-business consistency, operational efficiency, and process automation.
- Identifying cross-functional friction points and deploying data-driven automated solutions to modernize workflows.
- Delivering actionable insights to business leaders, fostering a culture of active risk ownership and accountability across all business units.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust EHS governance framework.
- Leveraging comprehensive audit strategies to evaluate program compliance and verify performance.
- Managing and supporting the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications while strategically evaluating the business case for expansion across Verizon.
- Modernizing EHS training programs by improving effectiveness, ensuring role-specific enrollment, enforcing completion accountability, and streamlining tracking and reporting.
- Overseeing the management of EHS programs and training, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, socialized, and communicated to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the global business units to ensure alignment with international EHS standards (e.g., Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSWR)).
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all EHS transformation and modernization initiatives align with core corporate leadership principles.
- Overseeing the continuous review, communication, and socialization of EHS programs to ensure strict regulatory compliance; equip the EHS team with tools to track and mitigate the impact of emerging regulations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least ten years of relevant experience, including experience implementing transformation initiatives across teams and dealing with regulatory requirements.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Proactive in identifying friction points and developing automated, sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Experience leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives or organizational change management projects.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex data sets, identifying trends, and implementing KPIs/KRIs to drive business decisions.
- Familiarity with integrating systems into ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and using Business Intelligence (BI) tools for predictive modeling.
- Experience managing budgets and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings through automation.

Pay
$144,000.00 - $276,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule.
Schedule
This role is hybrid, with a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
