Responsibilities

  • Lead Edtech R&D projects to integrate education research, evidence, and historically underrepresented learners into product design and development.

  • Leverage and foster cross-team collaborations within Digital Promise and external partnerships with organizations, product developers, research institutions, policymakers, education agencies, and industry experts to drive innovation in EdTech.

  • Design and execute research projects, develop proposals, and analyze data using various research methods to inform product development and educational outcomes.

  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional initiatives involving research institutions, product developers, and educators to design, implement, and test learning solutions.

  • Manage budgets and coordinate project operations with the Operations team, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and effective communication.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in educational technology and recommend strategies to support EdTech R&D initiatives.

  • Monitor evolving innovations in Edtech and emerging technologies, analyzing their potential impact on education and providing actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in learning analytics, learning sciences, experimental research, or mixed methods research.

  • At least 5 years of experience leading and managing research and development projects, particularly in the education sector.

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting teams in the development of solutions such as programs, curricula, tools, etc...

  • Proven experience and knowledge in project management processes, human-centered design, technical and non-technical solution design and development.

  • Ability to produce high-value and high-visibility deliverables for both internal and external audiences, with attention to detail and excellence.

  • Strong background in translating complex research into policy-relevant insights and advocacy strategies.

  • Knowledge of the education sector, marketplace of education solutions, and new methods and models for researching and designing education programs and products.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to write effectively.

  • Experience managing teams and direct reports to support collaboration, growth, and impact.

  • Experience developing and managing partnerships and multi-stakeholder projects, including program design, evaluation, and funder reporting.

  • A strong commitment to working towards Digital Promise's mission and impact goals.

  • An interest in redesigning learning systems to better serve historically and systemically excluded learners.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions.

Pay

The full-time salary range for this position varies based on geographical regions, with exact salaries ranging from $119,160 to $145,640 annually.

Schedule

The position is primarily remote, with employees expected to travel at least 4 times a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat. Additional travel may be required based on role and responsibilities.

Fast-paced working environment. Extensive computer usage and online engagement & communication. Must be willing to build inclusive relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization and external partners.
