The Director, Digital Strategy - Homepage & App (Sam's Club) leads the development and execution of comprehensive digital initiatives that align with business objectives and enhance corporate reputation. This role drives digital transformation by leveraging analytics, emerging technologies, and strategic communications to optimize internal and external engagement. Collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the director ensures effective digital advocacy, content strategy, and platform innovation. By fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence, this position supports talent development, stakeholder partnerships, and crisis response to advance Walmart’s strategic goals and deliver measurable business impact.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end commercial strategy for the Homepage and Sam’s Club App, ensuring both platforms serve as high-converting entry points for the member.
  • Lead the transition from iterative site updates to a bold, AI-driven curation strategy that weaves enterprise priorities into a personalized member journey.
  • Shifting focus from pure adoption to deepening the member experience and driving visit frequency.
  • Leveraging the Tempo platform and Glass migration to push the boundaries of geotargeted testing and layout optimization.
  • Leading experimentation that exceeds engagement targets while maintaining flat bounce rates.
  • Navigate a complex stakeholder environment, aligning with Marketing, Merchandising, and Product teams to drive a cohesive digital experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field and 5 years’ experience in public relations, communications or related field OR 7 years’ experience in public relations, communications or related field.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.
