Director, Consulting Services, Audit & Certification - Vendor Risk Management
Position Summary
Directors are experienced leaders who oversee service lines, deliver projects, manage client engagements, and lead consulting teams. They drive operational excellence while progressively enhancing their business development, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Service line leader, establishing and managing expectations for consulting service delivery within the service line(s).
Portfolio manager, ensuring engagement success and driving quality deliverables for all projects within the portfolio.
Collaborate with Sales and Client Success teams to identify client needs and opportunities for service expansion.
Contribute to proposal development by scoping projects and aligning solutions with client goals.
Develop client relationship-building skills to support long-term business partnerships.
Analyze client feedback and market trends to identify strategic growth opportunities.
Mentor and coach consultants, senior consultants, and principal consultants, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide actionable career development plans for team members.
Lead multiple client engagements, ensuring successful project execution within scope, timeline, and budget.
Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery and profitability.
Collaborate with peers to refine methodologies, tools, and delivery frameworks.
Monitor resource allocation and utilization to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
Contribute to organizational forecasting, planning, and strategic goal setting.
Meet all internal compliance requirements and follow all internal processes and ensure their team does the same.
Regularly contribute to the development of thought leadership materials such as white papers, blogs, and conference presentations.
Participate in industry events and professional organizations to represent Clearwater and build industry credibility.
Experience Required
10+ years of experience in Consulting, Cybersecurity, or related role.
Experience leading a service line or lines within a consulting context.
Experience in identifying client needs and contributing to business development efforts.
Proven experience leading diverse teams and driving project success through strong organizational and strategic planning.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
BA/BS Degree
Leadership, team-building, performance management, and motivation skills to guide project teams to successful outcomes.
Effective delegation and prioritization skills to balance operational tasks with strategic contributions.
Professional industry certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc. preferred.
In-depth knowledge of industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001) and their application in healthcare environments.
Strong capability in designing and implementing risk management and compliance programs.
Ability to critically assess security and compliance strategies to align with business objectives.
Proficiency in coaching and mentoring to develop future leaders within the organization.
Strategic thinking to align operational efforts with long-term business goals.
Ability to develop solution-based proposals that align with client business challenges.
Understanding financial and operational business metrics to support decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with executive-level clients and internal leadership.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities to resolve complex client challenges.
Ability to build trust and credibility within the team and with clients.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and paid sick time.
