General Purpose
The Director, Internal Audit and Risk Management is responsible for leading PacifiCorp's internal audit function, ensuring compliance with corporate policy and regulatory requirements, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Act as the principal internal audit leader, managing the audit department and developing audit standards and policies.
- Conduct annual risk and fraud assessments and develop a dynamic audit plan based on input from management and external auditors.
- Coordinate SOX Internal Audit testing to evaluate internal controls over financial reporting and collaborate with management on process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain communication with external auditors and the Berkshire Hathaway Audit Committee regarding audit plans, testing, and deficiencies.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and oversee the implementation of remediation plans.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the audit team, fostering a culture of integrity and financial transparency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in audit, risk management, compliance, or related fields, with at least 5 years of management or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory compliance requirements, financial modeling, and risk assessment/management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards for electric utility companies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience influencing and working effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors and Audit Committees desirable.

Hiring Range: $155,300 - $213,510
Annual Discretionary Performance Incentive Bonus: Up to 20.00% of salary.
