Director, Commercial Development

About the role

The Director of Commercial Development will spearhead Hut 8's data center initiatives, focusing on revenue growth, client relationship management, and positioning Hut 8 as a leader in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy for data center services.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities with a focus on high-potential clients in the AI sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Achieve and exceed revenue targets through effective sales strategies and negotiations.
• Assemble and lead a high-performing commercial team to support growth objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years in commercial roles within the data center or related technology sectors.
• Proven success in securing significant commercial agreements and driving revenue growth.
• Established relationships with key players in the hyperscale and enterprise technology world.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field (MBA preferred).
