Director - Co-Occurring Home

This position is located at our Co-Occurring Group Home in Midland City, AL. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This position will require some on-call, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays as needed to meet program needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, organize, operate, and supervise the complete day-to-day operations of the Co-Occurring Program under SpectraCare policies and procedures, in compliance with the Alabama Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Division.
• Supervise staff, client development, and safety.
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and treatment planning; coordinate with the system's clinical director concerning substance abuse and mental illness treatment of clients in the program.
• Prepare and carry out budgets for the program.
• Manage the resident finance program.
• Provide therapeutic services to consumers of the home.
• Partner with nursing staff to monitor the medication program.
• Use an electronic health record system to document and maintain consumer records.
• Serve in an on-call capacity, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on program needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related Mental Health field with successful completion of a relevant clinical practicum, or a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing with a current ABN license.
• At least two years of post-master’s experience in a direct service position.
• Completion of a clinical practicum.
• Must be willing to obtain substance abuse counselor certification within 30 months of hire from one of the following:
  • Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors
  • National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors
  • Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association
  • International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Inc.
