Responsibilities
- Plan, design, organize, operate and supervise the complete day-to-day operations of the Co-Occurring Program, under policies and procedures of SpectraCare while operating in compliance with the Alabama Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Division.
- Supervise staff, client development and safety; supervise admissions, discharges and treatment planning and coordinate with the system's clinical director concerning substance abuse and mental illness treatment of clients in the program.
- Prepare and carry out budgets for the program.
- Manage the resident finance program.
- Provide therapeutic services to consumers of the home.
- Partner with nursing staff to monitor the medication program.
- Use an electronic health record system to document and maintain consumer records.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related Mental Health field with successful completion of a relevant clinical practicum, or a Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing with current ABN license.
- Must have at least (2) years post masters experience in a direct service position.
- Completion of a clinical practicum.
- Willingness to obtain substance abuse counselor within (30) months of hire from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Inc. if not already certified.
