About the role
We are seeking a creative and results-oriented Director to oversee several residential ID/DD adult group home programs in and around Mohave County. This office-based role (Kingman, AZ or Bullhead City, AZ) manages residential coordinators in effectively supporting the individuals we serve. Responsibilities include monitoring and improving systems and processes around recruiting, retention, program development, and training. Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills are essential, along with a focus on quality assurance, leadership, and a passion for serving our community.
Responsibilities
- Provide management and supervision of residential group home coordinators in designated programs.
- Collaborate as a team to strategize, create, and oversee plans that provide the best available support for individuals in services.
- Ensure programs meet expectations of RISE corporate and state policies and procedures, all requirements of funding agencies, and train staff on policies as required.
- Maintain necessary records, logs, and other documentation as required by RISE and the state.
- Coach, train, and mentor employees, providing positive leadership and team building based on respect, cooperation, and competency.
- Effectively advocate for people receiving support.
- Administer budgets and provide financial oversight for the designated region.
- Serve in an on-call capacity and travel as needed.
- Work flexible hours with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement).
- Five years of related industry experience in supervision, coaching, management, training, and staff development.
- Person-centered philosophy and dedication to quality supports for individuals; self-motivated, honest, dependable, and flexible.
- Experience creating innovative program solutions for people with disabilities.
- Experience implementing systems to monitor program policy/procedure and contractual compliance.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in individual or group situations, including active listening.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology, teaching principles, human behavior, or principles of psychology, and knowledge of developmental disabilities/mental health needs and related field experience.
- Ability to interpret and implement policies/procedures regarding support services, AZ Department of Economic Security’s Division of Developmental Disabilities policies, and Department of Labor practices.
- Ability to prepare programmatic budgets and interpret budget results.

- Minimum age of twenty-one years and must meet requirements as specified by RISE Insurance Agency.
- Must successfully complete a background check, driving record check, and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
