About the role

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, seeks a Director of Clinical Services. This position supervises social services to ensure compliance with legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory agency guidelines. Key responsibilities include clinical supervision of social workers, therapists, and interns; participation in multi-disciplinary treatment teams; and clinical oversight of discharge planning and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical supervision of other social workers, therapists, and interns.
  • Supervises individual, group, and family sessions for patients as indicated in supervisor notes.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings and chart reviews for quality assurance.
  • Maintains regular meetings with clinical staff to meet licensure or certification requirements.
  • Supervises discharge and after-care planning, completes discharge summaries, and ensures clinical documentation.
  • Reviews psychosocial documentation, conducts outcome studies assessments, and develops clinical notes.
  • Fosters a supportive and directive leadership style to promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Provides clinical social work services, including group, individual, and family sessions, maintaining an age/disability/cultural sensitive environment.
  • Fosters cooperation across departments and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Appropriate licensure by state (LCSW preferred).
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
  • At least three years of full-time experience in psychiatry.
  • Excellent assertive communication skills.
  • Sound leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good writing and composition skills.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Able to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Therapeutic intervention de-escalation education required.
  • Able to maintain a positive work attitude and interact professionally with colleagues.
  • Basic competency in addressing the diverse needs of patients.
