Director - CL Products (hybrid/remote)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Profit and Loss Ownership: Own full product line profit and loss accountability; develop and execute business plans that optimize growth, profitability, and portfolio health across BOP and CT lines.
- Analytical Expectation: Leverage data and analytical insights to identify trends, diagnose performance drivers, and drive data-informed product strategy and underwriting actions.
- Leadership: Lead, motivate, and influence a cross-functional team to achieve business objectives, including direct reports and key partners across underwriting, sales, claims, IT, and marketing.
- Strategy and Execution: Define and execute end-to-end product strategy, including product development, pricing, underwriting guidelines, portfolio management, and go-to-market execution.
- Drive Disciplined Portfolio Management: Include mix optimization, expense management (e.g., commissions), and catastrophe risk mitigation.
- Distribution and Agency Influence: Partner with Sales & Marketing and underwriting to influence agency behavior, driving adoption of new technologies, products, and best practices in the distribution and servicing of Commercial Lines offerings.
- Compliance: Ensure full regulatory compliance for BOP and CT products, leading rate, rule, and form filings in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Competitive Intelligence: Lead competitive intelligence efforts, translating market trends and competitor actions into actionable insights that inform product and pricing strategy.
- Communication: Own product communication strategy, delivering clear, compelling messaging to internal stakeholders and agency partners to drive understanding, alignment, and adoption.
