Director, Cardiometabolic Program Management

Responsibilities
- Cardiometabolic Strategy
- Collaborate and innovate with key cross functional stakeholders including MAPA and Marketing on operationalizing innovative strategies and evolving the overarching PSS strategy for Wegovy.
- Lead cross-functional team to deliver on multiple priorities.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing & Market Access teams to ensure the design and execution of high-impact program strategies that support patients.
- Responsible for communication and engagement strategies between field sales, marketing and reimbursement support partners to ensure awareness and escalation of reported issues and customer concerns.
- Support all current and future launch products, including developing the post-script optimal Patient journey and leadership of Patient Support HUB suppliers.
- Assess competitor services and market dynamics to anticipate future trends, related to both market offerings and consumer/user behavior needs and expectations, to develop and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Lead the strategy, development and ongoing optimization of Patient and HCP Patient Support Program communications, education and database related to PAP.
- Function as subject matter expert on patient support solutions and collaborate cross functionally to design and implement programs that compliantly support the company’s patient support objectives for inline and launching brands.
- Oversee existing patient support programs, manage team responsible for day-to-day operations with a focus on operational excellence in support of the patient journey.
- Oversee development of SOPs and business rules related to all US patient support. Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Fiscal Management
- Accountable for the establishment, ongoing management and oversight of program budget across multiple programs.
- Demonstrate fiscal discipline and accountability to effectively and efficiently manage team performance through appropriate metrics.
- Oversee the management of overall NNI relationship and performance with vendors:
- Review and approval of various contracts; maintain contract compliance requirements.
- Monitors vendor performance via regular status meetings, monthly reporting and calibration calls.
- Negotiate and execute contracts / SOWs in partnership with procurement, finance and other stakeholders.
- Customer Support
- Attend key customer meetings to proactively remain up to date on changes and related needs for patient support.
- Develop recommendations and lead team to implement program changes to ensure ongoing compliance, industry competitiveness and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in development of Patient Solutions technology.
- Development of People
- Supervisory responsibility for reporting personnel, including individual development plans (IDP) with annual goals and measurements aligned to business priorities.
- Ensure interim reviews are held so that work is focused on priorities and accountability is clear.
- Ensure IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans for all reporting personnel to enable goal achievement and capability building.
- Manage application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Physical Requirements
- 10–20% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive business experience in marketing and/or sales/operations required.
- 5+ years of experience with patient support hubs, specialty pharmacies and/or healthcare institutions required.
- Customer-facing experience required; Cardiometabolic/Diabetes/Obesity experience desired.
- Agency/vendor management experience required.
- Ability to lead and collaborate on cross-functional teams required.
- Must anticipate problems and roadblocks to avoid crisis management.
- Proven track record of developing accurate short- and long-term business plans, results and follow-up.
- Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace including legal, medical, regulatory and clinical processes.
- Develops accurate short- and long-term plans, forecasting, and business analysis; ensures timely execution and follow-up; meets deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
Pay
The base compensation range for this position is $187,000 to $300,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and/or company vehicles depending on the position’s level or other company factors.
