About the role

This role is part of Alcon's Finance, Accounting, & Audit function, a team that advances Alcon's financial strategy and ensures fiscal responsibility as we transform the eye care industry. As the Director, Business Planning & Analysis (Management Path), you will serve as the finance lead and strategic business partner to the US Surgical Cataract leadership team, supporting a multi-billion-dollar portfolio through financial planning, performance management, investment prioritization, and business decision support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the US Surgical Cataract Commercial Leadership Team
  • Monitor medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership
  • Lead Annual Target, Strategic Plan, and Quarterly Business Review processes for the Surgical business and drive forecasting accuracy through robust sales, pricing, and volume assumptions
  • Lead profitability assessments across products, customer segments, and commercial programs
  • Provide financial leadership for new product launches, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitating cross-business unit initiatives
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to support pricing strategy, demand forecasting, and launch investment planning
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, reporting standards, and planning processes
  • Partner with FRA and Operations teams to maintain strong financial controls and transparency
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team across the US and Mexico COE organization
  • Drive continuous improvement, simplification, and capability building across BPA processes and tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
  • Relocation Assistance: Yes

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA with strong financial background including commercial experience
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis skills
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders with different interests/disciplines and see the big picture
  • Ability to manage complexity and simplify/standardize outcomes
