About the role

Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to contract new business revenue from partners, enhancing CGR's portfolio. The ideal candidate will fuel organizational success by generating significant bespoke partnerships that align with partner business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Show resourcefulness and persistence through the research of new B2B and B2C leads and subsequent outreach and follow-up.
  • Represent CGR professionally and with integrity in all interactions.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in pursuit of revenue goals.
  • Maintain consistent and resilient call and meeting activity in a low-volume deal environment.
  • Work comfortably with technology in the performance of the job, logging activity and communicating with prospective clients.
  • Willing to work in live entertainment, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years’ sales experience, preferably with rights holders or in major league sports/leagues.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic partnership sales, including sales and/or account management.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Proven ability to generate new business leads from cold calling, personal research, and industry networking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and results-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor.
  • Previous experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems.
