About the role

The Director, AI Product Management – Knowledge Products is responsible for driving the end-to-end development and delivery of AI-ready Knowledge Products—specifically AI models and agents—from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into clear and actionable technical requirements for reusable AI-ready Knowledge Products and governed knowledge capabilities.
  • Lead product discovery, validation, and iterative improvement processes with a focus on how AI-ready Knowledge Products will be consumed across search, copilots, agents, applications, tools, and internal teams.
  • Define and track product success metrics specific to knowledge quality, freshness, reuse, adoption, retrieval performance, and business impact.
  • Conduct research and engage internal customers to identify high-value knowledge domains, content gaps, authoritative sources, and opportunities for reusable Knowledge Products.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive the development and delivery of reusable Knowledge Products, ensuring that capabilities are not one-off builds, but governed, trusted, measurable products designed for consumption across multiple AI and digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in EJ Labs, Engineering, Data, Product Management, Experience, and the respective Business and Functional areas teams to curate, test, deploy, and refine new knowledge products and ensure alignment with enterprise AI standards.
  • Communicate product progress, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Conduct market and user research to understand demand for reusable Knowledge Products, identify high-value knowledge domains and content needs, and anticipate AI-ready knowledge enhancements.
  • Monitor and evaluate Knowledge Product quality, freshness, usage, retrieval performance, and user feedback, implementing refinements as needed as part of ongoing product lifecycle management and governance.
  • Actively shape the definition and evolution of Knowledge Product vision and strategy in partnership with business and technology stakeholders to drive measurable business impact and outcome-oriented delivery.
  • Translate business goals, user insights, knowledge domain needs, content trends, and AI-readiness requirements into Knowledge Product roadmaps, themes, initiatives, epics, and user stories—informing prioritization and hypothesis generation in collaboration with partners.
  • Support Knowledge Product delivery, adoption, and business impact through influence and collaboration, reinforcing outcome ownership while navigating shared accountability.
  • Collaborate with product leadership, delivery partners, and enabling teams to support resource coordination, delivery execution, and risk management across Knowledge Product delivery teams.
  • Partner closely with the Product Management organization, who serve as consumers of EJ Labs’ AI-ready Knowledge Products, to align reusable knowledge capabilities to downstream product needs.
  • Curate, test, certify, and refine AI-ready Knowledge Products, ensuring quality, freshness, governance, explainability, and functional integration with a broad set of consuming systems and applications.
  • Owning the lifecycle of Knowledge Products—including versioning, freshness monitoring, certification, usage tracking, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure EJ Labs’ AI-ready Knowledge Products can be consumed by low code agents, mini applications, applets, and other internal tooling used across the firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, product management, knowledge management, information science, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years’ experience in product management includes translating business and knowledge needs into technical requirements and leading product discovery and validation.
  • 3+ years' experience in AI, enterprise knowledge management, search, content strategy, data products, or AI-enabled product development.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, enterprise knowledge ecosystems, AI-ready content and financial services.
  • Product operating model methodologies, including Knowledge Product lifecycle management and AI-driven PDLC.
  • Metrics and frameworks for tracking Knowledge Product quality, freshness, reuse, adoption, retrieval performance, user feedback, and business impact.
  • Responsible AI practices, content governance, entitlement management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • User experience (UX) principles and their integration into AI-enabled knowledge discovery, workflow guidance, and product capability design.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Product Management, Knowledge Management, Information Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in AI product management, enterprise knowledge management, search, content strategy, or data product management, with a focus on responsible AI practices and regulatory compliance in a financial services context.
  • Financial services industry practices and regulations.
  • Emerging trends in Knowledge as a Product, enterprise search, retrieval-augmented generation, agent-ready content, and AI-powered knowledge workflows.
  • Data and knowledge governance, metadata strategy, taxonomy, content lifecycle management, and integrity management.
  • Risk management and compliance in AI-enabled knowledge products, authoritative source designation, content governance, and reusable knowledge capability development.
  • Analytics and reporting techniques for tracking Knowledge Product health, adoption, retrieval performance, and business impact.
