Direct Support Team Supervisor

CFSS is seeking a Full-time Direct Support Team Supervisor in Maricopa County. This role is ideal for a determined social worker or behavioral health professional looking for a rewarding career opportunity that blends program leadership and clinical work. Supervisors serve a small caseload, prioritizing intensive, creative support for young people and families while minimizing routine casework. The position allows you to make a daily difference by helping youth maintain community connections and recognize their potential.

About the role

This position emphasizes strength-based, family-centered support and requires the ability to build positive connections with children and adults. Supervisors collaborate with Child and Family Teams (stakeholders, therapists, case managers, etc.) and agency management, providing clinical supervision and facilitating team meetings. The role involves family intakes, writing assessments and support plans, measuring service outcomes, promoting employee development, and evaluating performance.

Flexibility in scheduling is essential, including afternoon, evening, and weekend work, as well as driving throughout the county to work within families' homes and communities. Participation in an on-call rotation is also required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and create unique interventions to support youth in achieving normalcy and community integration.
• Build positive connections with children and adults using a strength-based, family-centered approach.
• Communicate effectively with families, Child and Family Team members, and agency management.
• Facilitate team meetings and perform family intakes.
• Write assessments and support plans, and measure progress and outcomes of services.
• Promote employee development and evaluate team performance.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and perform other related duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years related work experience or a related Bachelor’s degree.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License with an acceptable 39-month driving record.
• Reliable transportation, including proof of insurance.
• Negative drug test required.
• Obtain an Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Complete Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid training.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
