Direct Support Professional -Weekends 2026

Responsibilities

Provides outstanding support and services for people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to participate as fully as they wish in all aspects of community life.

Affords assistance in the development of friendships and other relationships.

Affords assistance in becoming an active participant in the community and building natural support networks.

Affords assistance in maintaining a family-style household, which includes cooking balanced meals according to clients' needs and preferences and maintaining house cleanliness.

Affords assistance in attending to the individual needs of each person, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, or other needs in keeping with their care requirements.

Affords encouragement and support for participation in the community, including going on recreational and social outings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have a current driver’s license with no more than 5 points
• Must display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilities
• Must display a positive attitude when interacting with others
