About the role
The Direct Support Professional Senior job class supports individuals in short- and long-term housing programs. These individuals may have intellectual disabilities, mental illness, brain injury, and other emotional, behavioral, and medical complexities. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Assessing individual needs through direct care duties.
- Developing and implementing residential and habilitation support plans.
- Evaluating and documenting outcomes, modifying plans as needed.
- Responding therapeutically using de-escalation strategies and positive behavior supports.
Requirements
- Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and co-occurring diagnoses.
- Experience with verbal de-escalation strategies and working with individuals who exhibit aggressive behaviors.
- Clear communication skills to understand and communicate complex services.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to perform physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.

Pay
$24.54 - $31.43 per hour.
Schedule
Shifts available: Day, rotating (day/evening combination) OR overnight. Shift differential for hours between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.
