Direct Support Professional Respite Overnight
About the role
The Direct Support Professional assists in providing self-care training, therapeutic treatments, and assistance in daily living to developmentally disabled individuals attending the agency's respite facility.
Responsibilities
- Must stay awake and not place themselves in a compromising position/place that is conducive to sleep
- Continuously assess the status of the physical building and the individuals throughout the duration of the shift
- Provides individualized care as outlined in the individuals Life Plan, or ISP
- Supports the residents to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Observes, documents and communicates pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals
About the ARC’s Respite Program
The Respite Center offers a six-bed home-like atmosphere with trained staff to ensure the best quality of care for individuals with disabilities. Individual stays run Thursday–Sunday where they will receive meals, activities, and trips within the community. Direct Support Professionals are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.

New Hire Rate: $20.00
Schedule
Awake Overnight Shifts – 30 Hour Schedule
