Essential Functions

  • Provides assistance, support and guidance in Activities Of Daily Living (ADL'S)
  • Promotes independence in domestic tasks (home chores, cleaning)
  • Safeguards the health and security of individuals
  • Maintains environmental cleanliness
  • Supports transportation needs
  • Encourages community living and integration
  • Upholds individual's rights and supports their agency mission and vision
  • Engages in positive, collaborative interactions and communication
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of Ohio Individual Support Plans
  • Documents health, safety, and wellbeing of individuals
  • Administers medication and performs health-related activities as required
  • Ensures punctuality and reliability
  • May work additional shifts and holidays as needed
  • Represents The Society professionally and collaboratively
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Obtain and maintain certification in Medication Administration, Health Related Activities, First Aid, CPR, PMT, and other required courses
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License with a good driving record and appropriate insurance
