Direct Support Professional (Day Program)

About the role

Being a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Devereux means working with dedicated professionals who share a passion for helping individuals in need. Direct Support Professional positions are located in Swedesboro, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in achieving their goals for daily living skills, such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals to be involved with.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid non‑provisional driver’s license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic with a team approach to care for individuals.
• Commitment to Devereux’s zero‑tolerance policy for abuse and willingness to report concerns.

Pay

Salary: Starting at $20.42 per hour, with increases based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
