Accord is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting people living with disabilities to achieve their personal and career goals. Services include person-centered care to empower, uplift, and transform lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical care, including supervision and assistance in the home or community.
- Develop relationships with the person supported and their support team.
- Follow through on assigned duties, including outings, ADLs, and supervision.
- Avoid medical tasks but assist with daily living activities such as cooking, showering, and personal care.
- Support the person in becoming more independent and involved in the community through frequent activity outings.
- Assist with walks and supervision while at home and in the community.
- Complete detailed, accurate documentation as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Implement individualized care plans and ensure individual's rights are respected.
- Provide companionship and engage individuals in recreational activities.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the individual's primary contact within the scope of service.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school degree or GED (or equivalent).
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Minnesota DHS background study clearance.
- Wi-Fi-enabled device for work-related purposes.
- Basic computer skills.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in working with persons with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of person-centered care approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.
- Ability to serve as an ambassador of Accord in the community.
Pay
$21.82/hour
Schedule
M-F 7:15am - 2:45pm
